HFEA: Prisma - what is different from EDI
From MedITEX - Wiki
What is different?
- Registration - now there is only 1 form but different registration types - demographic → field: registration type
- ITT (intention to treat) from does not exist anymore
Movement in:
- Importing donor material from UK:
- DO NOT send a registration form for that donor
- A UK donor should be registered only at that centre where the donor gives sperm/eggs
- Donor number (from the centre where donor was registered) should be filled in anonymID
- In the cryo mask the Centre should be filled in from where the sample was imported
- Importing donor material from oversees:
- Registration form with donor type has to be sent
- Cryo mask: enter country
- In HFEA Form → enter bank clinic name
- Patients moving to another centre, bringing cryo material
- Last Patient Registration number should be filled in demographics
- Submit patient registration form
- Before sending Movement IN form, movement out data of exporting centre has to be fetched from PRISM database over calling an specific endpoint: "Get movement-out from PRISM".
Female same sex couples:
- The surrurogate mother is receiving only the EMBRYO (no mixing or freezing on her side!) either:
- fresh (new form "Fresh donated embryo" will be created) or
- frozen (FET) → reserving the embryo → thawing in surrogate cycle (form "Embryo thaw for use or refreeze" will be created)
- A DUMMY patient has to be created for the intended father. Further details: ✓ How to do male same sex couples with surrogacy
- If a egg donor donates to 2 men, each men is registration type "intended father", with a female dummy and a own cycle for mixing.
